Shottenkirk Chevrolet, Toyota of Des Moines and Deery Brothers Chevrolet all to expand
Shottenkirk Chevrolet in Waukee is planning to break ground Thursday on a new 30,000-square-foot building to replace its existing dealership.
Plans for the expansion have been in the works with the city since last year. The site plan also calls for redevelopment of 10 acres north of the company’s current lot.
In other dealership news, the City of Des Moines Plan and Zoning Commission will vote on a request from Gabus Family Trust LC to amend a site plan for Toyota of Des Moines.
The plan calls for a new 3,700-square-foot addition to the company’s showroom and the construction of a 5,000-square-foot two-story parts warehouse building.
Also, the Pleasant Hill City Council approved a site plan for a new 40,000-square-foot dealership at Highway 163 and 60th Street.
Deery Brothers Chevrolet will be housed in the new facility. Construction will begin in the next 30 days.
