The Ingersoll Business Association and the Des Moines West Side Chamber of Commerce have teamed up with the Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority to offer free Friday night D-line downtown shuttle service to Ingersoll Avenue for six weeks this fall. The service will run every 10 minutes from 5 p.m. to midnight starting this Friday and continuing each subsequent Friday night through Dec. 3. During these times, the regular D-Line route will be extended to the west along Ingersoll to 39^th Street, and shortened on the east side to turn around in the East Village rather than behind the Capitol. The D-Line will continue to run on its regular route – from the Western Gateway to the Capitol – between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. weekdays.
