Scientific Games Corp. said today it has been awarded a 10-year, $50 million integrated gaming systems contract by the Iowa Lottery. The contract includes the installation of new sales terminals, a new terminal communications network and a full suite of data processing servers. The contract, which was awarded through a competitive procurement process, begins in July 2011 and has an initial term of seven years. It includes three additional one-year contract extension options. The Iowa Lottery board recently approved a second one-year extension to its $1.5 million contract with Scientific Games for the production of instant tickets. (Updated Nov. 3 at 4:21 p.m.)
