Leading indicators up in November

The Iowa Leading Indicators Index rose to 102.4 in November 2010 from 101.6 in October. The 0.8 percent increase was the largest of 14 consecutive gains in the index since April 2010. Seven of the eight leading indicator components contributed positively to November’s increase, according to a press release from the Iowa Department of Revenue. During the six months ended Nov. 30, the index rose 3.6 percent, or at an annualized rate of 7.2 percent. The index’s base year of 1999 is equal to 100.
