Construction employment up 2 percent in Greater Des Moines
Construction employment in Greater Des Moines increased by 2 percent in the 12 months ended Nov. 30, according to a report by the Associated General Contractors of America released yesterday. Nationwide, construction employment either increased or remained steady in 120 of the 337 metropolitan areas covered in the report. The slight improvement was due in large part to temporary federal funding for stimulus and military construction, the association said in a press release.
