Meredith launches social commerce site
Meredith Corp. announced plans yesterday to launch a social commerce network in partnership with Group Commerce Inc.
The new network is housed on the website http://deals.parents.com, and is designed to provide subscribers to Meredith publications with social networking and group buying opportunities, similar to Groupon Inc.
Meredith is launching a “Premium Partner Program” that will enable merchants to access the company’s audience of more than 75 million women by marketing special offers through the social commerce network.
