Meredith wins wellness award

Meredith Corp. is one of only three companies in the nation to receive a Platinum Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Council of America. The best-in-class platinum award recognizes organizations that have developed comprehensive programs that produce measurable results. Since Meredith started its wellness program five years ago, the number of employees in the high health risk category has decreased by 30 percent, and employees have lost more than 21,000 pounds during the annual eight-week Live Healthy Meredith campaign, the company said.
