DuPont enters into agreement with Rosetta Green
E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. has entered into a strategic research agreement with Israel-based Rosetta Green Ltd. to identify drought tolerance genes in corn and soybeans. Under the agreement, Rosetta Green will use proprietary technology to identify what are called microRNAs, and DuPont, through its Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc. subsidiary, will test candidate genes in target crops. Pioneer will have an exclusive commercial license for genes identified through this collaboration. MicroRNAs are small molecules in corn, soybeans and other plants that represent an additional mode of action to develop important trait solutions in those crops, Pioneer said.
