U.S. trade with neighbors increases 18 percent since last year

U.S. trade with Canada and Mexico jumped to $72.4 billion in July, an 18.1 percent increase from last year, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Canada is the United States’ No. 1 trade partner, and Mexico is the United States’ No. 3 trade partner after Canada and China. However, Mexico is the No. 2 buyer of U.S. exports.
