Applications for environmental awards are available
The Greater Des Moines Partnership, Center on Sustainable Communities, Des Moines Water Works and Metro Waste Authority will honor local organizations and leaders for their sustainability efforts. Environmental Impact Award applications will be accepted through 3:30 p.m. March 23. To commemorate Earth Month, winners will be announced April 16. Applications are available at www.desmoinesmetro.com/events. Winners will be recognized at a luncheon May 16 at the Des Moines Botanical and Environmental Center.
