Science Center names Wittmack president and CEO
Art Wittmack, interim president and CEO of the Science Center of Iowa (SCI) since Aug. 15, has been named the organization’s new leader. “Art has done great things in his short time at the helm,” SCI Board Chairman Matthew Mouw said in a press release. “Moving forward, we will remove the interim title. As president/CEO he will continue to build on the momentum SCI has enjoyed with its recent lineup of blockbuster exhibitions.” Wittmack’s involvement with SCI goes back nearly 14 years. He served as a board member from 1998 to 2007, and board chair from 2005 to 2007. During his 35-year career with Neumann Bros. Inc., Wittmack held many roles, including chief financial officer, director, president and CEO and chairman.
