Komen official resigns after funding controversy
Susan G. Komen for the Cure Senior Vice President of Public Policy Karen Handel resigned after the breast-cancer group overturned its decision to end grants to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Bloomberg reported.
In an online statement, Handel said she believed defunding Planned Parenthood was “the best one for Komen’s future and the women we serve.”
