Environmental award applications being accepted
Center on Sustainable Communities, Des Moines Water Works, Greater Des Moines Partnership, Metro Waste Authority and MidAmerican Energy Co. will honor local organizations and leaders for their sustainability efforts with Environmental Impact awards in the categories of large and small businesses, civic organizations, and residential and commercial construction. Applications will be accepted until 3:30 p.m. March 13. Winners will be announced April 4. Applications are available at www.desmoinesmetro.com/events.
