Six people will join the board of the Des Moines Downtown Chamber of Commerce, effective Wednesday.

The new members are Matt Meline from Morgan Stanley, treasurer; Dawn Wirtz from Home Remedies, secretary; David Slinker from CenturyLink Inc., marketing committee chairman; Shawn Harrington from Regus, programs and events committee chairman; and Jennifer Richey from West Bank and Matt Warner-Blankenship from Davis Brown Law Firm, at-large members.

Joe Benesh from RDG Planning & Design will be the president in 2014, Kevin Tiernan from Bankers Trust Co. will move into the past president role, and Kris Maggard from Business Publications Corp. Inc. will be vice president.
