The Polk County Aviation Authority board members serve four-year terms and oversee the operation and budget of the Ankeny Regional Airport. The board meets the first Thursday after the first Monday of each month. The seven-member board is composed of representatives from Polk County, Ankeny, Bondurant and Altoona.
Applicants must live in unincorporated Polk County and have a background and/or interest in aviation. For more information, contact Ami Anderson at 286.2226 or ami.anderson@polkcountyiowa.gov. The application deadline is Jan. 10.
