The Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB) Iowa program celebrated the graduation of 25 small business owners from its ninth cohort in the spring of 2023. The graduates, representing a diverse range of industries and locations across the state, completed the program’s 12-week curriculum in early May. Coordinated by Des Moines Area Community College in collaboration with all 15 of Iowa’s community colleges, the Goldman Sachs 10KSB program offers small business owners skills in various areas such as negotiation, marketing and employee management. Participants receive support to develop a customized growth plan to elevate their businesses. The program is free of charge for accepted scholars. It is offered twice a year to small business owners across Iowa.
