Application period opens for leadership awards
The Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI) is accepting nominations for the institute’s Distinguished Leadership Awards, which recognize GDMLI alumni, current students and one GDMLI advocate. Nominations are requested for the categories of business, civic, government, education and neighborhood. An overall achievement award, the A. Arthur Davis Distinguished Leadership Award, is for an individual who exhibits outstanding leadership in all areas. This recipient need not be a GDMLI graduate or student. Letters of nomination must accompany each complete nomination form and be received at the GDMLI offices no later than midnight on Feb. 28. Nomination forms are available now at www.gdmli.com/leadership_award_nominations. Award winners will be honored at the GDMLI Annual Dinner on April 19 at the Polk County Convention Complex.
