Drake football team to hear about ethics before playing in Global Kilimanjaro Bowl
Richard Lapchick, an internationally recognized expert on ethics and sports, will deliver a presentation on the nature of global citizenship to the Drake University football team at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Drake University’s Bulldog Theater in Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave.
Ann Schodde, president and CEO of the U.S. Center for Global Citizenship, will make opening remarks. Lapchick’s speech is one week before the team travels to Tanzania to participate in the Global Kilimanjaro Bowl, the first American-rules football game ever to be played in Africa.
