Construction set for new homeless shelter
Central Iowa Shelter Services will break ground Wednesday on a new center at 1420 Mulberry St. The 40,000-square-foot shelter will provide emergency housing for 150 homeless clients, with additional space for showers, a kitchen, restrooms, storage and an education room.
