On Friday, the Science Center of Iowa will host its 12th annual fund-raising event and auction. This year’s event, with the theme “Envision More,” will feature live music, cocktails, cuisine and live and silent auctions to benefit the Science Center’s programs, exhibits and focus on informal science learning. The Science Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, as well as its fifth year downtown. Leading the event are co-chairs Julie Andrews and Lisa-Marie Wright, 33 committee volunteers from the Central Iowa community, and honorary chairs Art and Susan Wittmack.
