The American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) has named Jay Byers chair of its Government Relations Division. Byers, senior vice president for public policy at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, will begin his one-year term as chair on Sept. 1. The ACCE Government Relations Division is a network for advocacy and public policy leaders from state and local chambers of commerce from across the country to share information and best practices.  A graduate of Simpson College and the University of Iowa College of Law, Byers served as district director for Congressman Leonard Boswell prior to joining the Partnership staff.
