American Equity expands board, adds Neugent as director
Knapp Properties Inc. co-owner Gerry Neugent has joined the board of directors of American Equity Investment Life Holding Co. The board voted to increase the number of directors to 13 from 12 and elected Neugent to fill the spot.
Neugent’s term will expire next June at the annual stockholders’ meeting. At that time, he will stand for election for a board term expiring in 2013.
According to an American Equity proxy statement filed last April, each director who is not an employee of the company receives $1,000 per month and $1,000 for each meeting attended.
