The University of Northern Iowa is meeting the growing demand for engineering education by introducing its first-ever engineering degree programs. Starting in fall 2024, students can enroll in the Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering program and the Bachelor of Science in Materials Science Engineering Technology program. These programs capitalize on UNI’s expertise in metal casting, manufacturing engineering technology, and materials science. Industry leaders have expressed a need for graduates from both programs, offering internships and project opportunities. UNI’s advanced facilities and instrumentation will provide students with hands-on experience, preparing them to solve real-world problems.
