Rockwell Collins plans to hire 800 in next year
Cedar Rapids-based Rockwell Collins Inc. plans to hire 800 employees during the next year, about half of them in Iowa, according to KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids.
The company made the announcement as it joined 1,300 businesses, associations and organizations urging Congress to extend tax provisions that expired in 2009 or are scheduled to expire at the end of the year.
Employment at Rockwell Collins has remained flat for the past two years.
