Mid-Iowa Subway Inc. is developing a 2,080-square-foot restaurant at 1001 N. Hickory Blvd. in Pleasant Hill. The stand-alone Subway will be located on the former site of a Phillips 66 gas station, which closed about six years ago. The building that housed that business was demolished in September. On July 26, Mid-Iowa Subway purchased the property from Midtown Investors Group Inc. for $182,000. The seller was represented by Brown & Billings Commercial Real Estate Services. Indianola-based Downing Construction Inc. is the general contractor.
