They will receive $1,000 each to support their pursuit of higher education. The recipients are Nolan Carroll from Waukee High School, Levi Manning from Northwest High School, Shea Berger from Dowling Catholic High School, and Elliot Baughman from Valley High School. The scholarships were awarded based on the students’ academic standing and their enrollment as full-time undergraduate students in a business program. Travis Simpson, Northwest regional bank president, and Jill Thielen, regional senior lender and executive vice president of Northwest Bank in West Des Moines, presented each student with their $1,000 scholarship, which can be used at the college of their choice. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to present these students with the scholarship awards and honor their dedication and hard work,” said Simpson. “Awarding these scholarships is a great way to help students save for their higher education. It also recognizes them for their outstanding achievements, civic involvement and volunteerism.”
