Des Moines Area Community College announced Erica Spiller has been named as its vice president for enrollment services and student success, following a national search. Spiller will oversee all aspects of student services at DMACC, including recruiting, admissions, registration, counseling, advising, financial aid and marketing. Previously, Spiller has served in several student services roles at DMACC, including as orientation and transfer coordinator, assistant director of student development and most recently as associate provost of student services at the DMACC Urban Campus. “The various positions I’ve held here at the College and my leadership role in strategic planning will allow us to have an efficient and impactful transition in Student Services,” Spiller said in a news release. “My emphasis will be to further improve the student experience at all DMACC locations, while preparing for the many challenges we face in higher education today.” Spiller replaces Shelli Allen, who recently accepted a new role in Overland Park, Kan.
