David Spalding, dean of Iowa State’s Ivy College of Business, was reappointed to a third five-year term to lead the business college. During his second term, Spalding worked with Ivy faculty and staff on completing a 45,000-square-foot addition to the Gerdin Business Building, growing graduate enrollment and faculty numbers, establishing new academic programs and leading a college reaccreditation. “David Spalding has transformed the Ivy College of Business during his 10 years as dean,” ISU President Wendy Wintersteen said in a prepared statement. “He has engaged students, alumni and Iowa’s business community to create an exceptional educational experience that prepares graduates for successful careers, across a wide range of fields, and sets a high bar for peers across the nation.” Spalding recently shared his visions and goals for the business college with the Business Record
