West Des Moines-based Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce has announced its Original Hot Sauce is now available in over 3,600 Walgreens stores nationwide. Walgreens is Lola’s third national account in addition to being in over 2,200 Lowe’s Home Improvement stores and partnering with Homechef to have Lola’s sauce included in its meal service delivery kits. The company’s hot sauces are now available in over 14,000 retailers and restaurants in the U.S., the Philippines and the Virgin Islands, according to a news release. “We’re beyond thrilled to bring Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce to the national stage,” Lola’s founder and CEO Taufeek Shah said in a prepared statement. “This is a tribute to my mother, Lola, whose dedication to caring for Iowa farmers and our family has led us here. Being the first national Iowa-Asian-Filipino-owned hot sauce brand makes this moment even more special.” Shah founded Lola’s in 2016.
