Veridian Credit Union will provide mobile shred trucks in three communities across Iowa this fall for Community Shred Day. Each event is free and open to the public to promote the importance of shredding unwanted, sensitive documents to prevent identity fraud. Two of the events will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 16 at Maple Grove Elementary in West Des Moines and the Veridian Credit Union office in Cedar Falls. Another event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 23 at the Westdale branch in Cedar Rapids. Attendees are asked to arrive with documents in the cargo area of their vehicle and to remain in their vehicle while event staff unload it and place it in shred bins.
