The awardees are: Cindy Dietz of Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids (manufacturing champion); Jack Hasken, president and CEO of Jackson Manufacturing in Maquoketa (under 100 employees); Heather Bruce, president and CEO of Osmundson Manufacturing in Perry (100 to 300 employees); and John Riches, public affairs manager for Arconic in Bettendorf (more than 300 employees).
The four Legends in Manufacturing awardees were chosen for their contributions to the manufacturing industry by displaying leadership in their companies and by engaging in activities supporting manufacturing, according to a press release.
“As one of Iowa’s largest industries, manufacturing contributes $38 billion annually to the state’s economy,” ABI President Mike Ralston said in a prepared statement. “It’s an honor to recognize the founders and leaders of these amazing Iowa companies, and to thank them for the outstanding contributions they make to our state.”
All former Legends in Manufacturing are invited to attend and be honored again during the awards program, which will take place during a special luncheon at the Iowa Manufacturing Conference on Oct. 4.
