Six credit union leaders received awards for their contributions to the credit union movement during the annual Iowa Credit Union Convention this week in Coralville. Dave Cale, president and CEO of Financial Plus Credit Union, received the Cooperative Spirit Professional Award; Jim Kacher and Vince Schuster received the Cooperative Spirit Volunteer awards; Robert Daughters, help desk manager at Dupaco Community Credit Union, got the Young Professional Award; Paddy Friedrichsen, CEO of Midwest Community Credit Union, received the Heritage Award; and Denny Siemers was posthumously recognized with the Heritage Award. 11 Iowa Credit Union League board members were also sworn in during the convention.

The new board members are:
