New president named at Fredrikson law firm

Melodie Rose has been named president of Fredrikson & Byron, a Midwest law firm with offices in Des Moines and Ames. Rose is the firm’s first female president. She has worked at the law firm, which is headquartered in Minneapolis, for 33 years. She currently serves on the firm’s board of directors; is chair of the firm’s Business Division; and is a member of the Compensation Committee. Former Fredrikson president, John Koneck, is stepping down after serving 19 years as president. Koneck will focus on his real estate practice as well as pro bono and community service work.
