McGill Junge Wealth Management, a member of Northwestern Mutual’s exclusive Private Client Group, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary and spotlighting its philanthropic giving in Central Iowa. In honor of the milestone, the firm said it will match gifts to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, through Oct. 31, according to a press release. In conjunction with the match campaign, the McGill Junge team volunteered with Habitat for Humanity at a home in Des Moines. “We know that homeownership is one of the primary ways that Americans build and transfer wealth, and we were surprised to learn that just 31.7% of Black Polk County residents own their homes, while 73.1% of all Polk County residents own their homes,” McGill Junge co-founder Ed McGill said in a prepared statement. “We are honored to partner with Habitat for Humanity to help narrow the racial wealth gap by providing access to safe, comfortable and affordable homeownership.” To learn more about the match campaign or volunteer opportunities, click here.
