MidAmerican Energy buys land from Bridgestone

Des Moines-based MidAmerican Energy paid Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC just over $1 million for property in the vicinity of 4600 N.W. Second St. in unincorporated Polk County, Polk County real estate records show.
The Des Moines City Council and Plan and Zoning Commission in April approved the preliminary plat Firestone Plat 1pp. MidAmerican Energy plans on developing a substation on 3.2 acres of the nearly 80 acres occupied by the Bridgestone Agricultural Tire Plant, city documents show.
The transaction was recorded Oct. 23.

Streamlined Self Storage LLC, located in Ankeny, paid Ankeny Self Storage LLC $962,500 for property at 1519 S. Ankeny Blvd., records show. The 2-acre parcel includes 28,950 square feet of miniature warehouse space built in 1983. The property is valued at $1.54 million. The transaction was recorded Oct. 26.
RH Urbandale LLC, located in Urbandale, paid Urbandale Investors LLC $8.25 million for property at 8800 Northpark Drive in Urbandale, records show. The property includes a four-story, 116-unit hotel built in 2007. The property is valued at $7.8 million. The transaction was recorded Oct. 26.
