Greater Des Moines Partnership honors 5 Inclusion Award winners

0 wordsAll Latest News, Economic DevelopmentThe Greater Des Moines Partnership presented the 2023 Inclusion Awards during the 11th annual Inclusion Summit on Wednesday.
The awards honored and celebrated the success of organizations that have championed diversity, equity and inclusion in their businesses, organizations and in the community, according to a news release.
The award winners are:
- Oakridge Neighborhood: small organization category (1-150 employees)
- IMT Insurance: medium organization category (151-500 employees)
- Bankers Trust: large organization category (over 500 employees)
- City of West Des Moines: public entity category
- Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (iJAG): nonprofit category
Organizations had to be a regional member or investor of the Partnership to qualify for the Inclusion Awards. A selection committee composed of members of the Partnership’s Inclusion Council and the Partnership team evaluated the applications.
“This year’s honorees have exhibited a purposeful dedication to propelling their businesses on the DEI path and leaving a profound mark in their communities,” Marvin DeJear, chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at the Partnership, said in a news release. “They devoted themselves to investing time and energy into effecting substantial change within their organizations and well beyond.”
During the summit, the DSM 4 Equity Collective unveiled the Central Iowa Equity Dashboard with data powered by United Way of Central Iowa, the release said. DSM 4 Equity is designed to increase equity by connecting the region to local data, resources and community initiatives. To view the dashboard, click here.
