Rehmann named chief medical officer for UnityPoint Clinic

190 wordsAll Latest News, Health and Wellness, Key Leadership ChangesUnityPoint Health announced that Joshua Rehmann, doctor of osteopathic medicine, has been named the chief medical officer for UnityPoint Clinic. In his new role, Rehmann will provide clinical and administrative leadership for the physicians and advanced practice providers across all UnityPoint Health markets. Rehmann will be responsible for clinical quality, patient safety, peer review and provider engagement, while also serving as a member of the UnityPoint Clinic senior executive team. Rehmann began his career with UnityPoint as a resident in the Iowa Lutheran Family Medicine residency program, where he served as chief resident. He joined the east Des Moines family medicine practice in 2009, serving as a primary care physician and as a faculty member for the residency program. In addition to his clinical and teaching work, Rehmann has also served in multiple senior physician roles, including associate program director and program director of the Iowa Lutheran Family Medicine Residency program, program director of the Waterloo track of the Family Medicine Residency program and medical director of quality and population health. Most recently, he has served as the vice president and medical director of the Central Iowa market.
