Waukee Public Library receives accreditation from the State Library of Iowa

74 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and CultureThe Waukee Public Library has met the conditions for state accreditation, the State Library of Iowa announced. A news release said 414 of Iowa’s 543 public libraries are accredited. The recognition goes to libraries for community responsiveness and “exhibiting excellence in their provision of library services,” according to the release. Accredited libraries receive additional funding through the State Library’s Enrich Iowa program, as well as a certificate from Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds.
