FuseDSM holding panel event on transportation manufacturing sector

152 wordsAll Latest News, Economic Development, Manufacturing, TransportationFuseDSM, an affiliate chamber of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, is holding its first Remake Program event on Jan. 30, featuring a panel discussion with leaders from Central Iowa’s transportation manufacturing sector. In 2023, FuseDSM, along with its Maker Council, launched MakeDSM, a network of manufacturers who meet to learn about resources and share best practices, according to a news release. The panelists for the event are Troy Wirtz, director of aftermarket sales at Dee Zee Manufacturing; Joseph Greenley, vice president of engineering at SEA Electric; and Mark Smith, chief operating officer of Almaco. Topics will include Iowa’s low manufacturing segment unemployment rate and associated challenges, ways to achieve consistent expansion in transportation manufacturing-related segments and how to create sustainable growth in the manufacturing and distribution sector.
