The Greater Des Moines Partnership’s DSM Workforce Collaborative has outlined strategic objectives and goals to further advance regional workforce needs. The DSM Workforce Collaborative focuses on strengthening the current and future workforce by identifying workforce opportunities and implementing solutions to help meet business and education needs in Greater Des Moines. It is made up of business, human resources, education and state leaders who began to convene in late 2023 to build and drive strategic talent retention strategies for the region, according to a news release. The DSM Workforce Collaborative goals include growing connections between education and industry, supporting industry and kindergarten-through-post-secondary programming and building a deeper understanding of current and needed skills in the region.
