The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a “Contracting Opportunities for Small Business” lunch-and-learn on Aug. 8, in partnership with the Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) at Iowa State University. Attendees will be able to network with local government agencies and other business corporations in the contracting space. Each participating agency, including the city of Des Moines, Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority and the Iowa Department of Transportation, will provide short briefings about the contracting opportunities they have available, followed by a light lunch. The event is free to attend and will be held at the Holiday Inn Des Moines Downtown. To learn more or register, visit the event page.
