MSA Professional Services names Nick Wagner as next CEO

MSA Professional Services Inc., a multidisciplinary consulting firm with locations around the Midwest, has announced Nick Wagner will be promoted to the role of chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1. Wagner will succeed CEO Gil Hantzsch, who has announced plans to retire. Wagner first joined MSA in 2004 as a co-op student and intern. Since then, he has led growth and development initiatives in the greater eastern Iowa-western Illinois region and was promoted to the role of Illinois program manager in 2017. Most recently, he has been based in Kiel, Wis., as senior vice president of MSA’s buildings service lines, leading the firm’s vertical infrastructure division. Wagner is a licensed professional engineer in seven states and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. MSA has four Iowa offices in Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Ankeny and Bettendorf.
