Jacquie Easley McGhee receives 2024 Dr. William Montague Cobb Award

Jacquie Easley McGhee, division director of health equity, diversity and inclusion at MercyOne, received the 2024 Dr. William Montague Cobb Award. The award honors Cobb, who served as president of the NAACP at the national level, by recognizing those who have dedicated their lives to the cause of health equity, according to a news release. Easley McGhee, who was recognized in the state category, received the award at the NAACP National Convention on July 17 in Las Vegas. She serves as the health chair for NAACP Iowa-Nebraska State Area Conference of Branches. “Jacquie is the go-to person in Iowa when it comes to addressing health issues at the community, policy, system and personal levels, Betty Andrews, NAACP Iowa-Nebraska State Area president and national board member, said in a news release. “Jacquie lives and breathes this work on behalf of ensuring our community is healthy.”
