The West Des Moines Leadership Academy is holding its first professional development event for alumni focused on addressing stress and burnout. A recent survey of Central Iowa employers done by the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce found that burnout was a top issue leaders are facing among employees and themselves, according to a news release. The workshop will be led by Vanessa McNeal, a speaker, coach and entrepreneur, who will provide attendees with tools to manage stress and cultivate inner peace, the release said. The event is on Oct. 29 at West48 in West Des Moines from 3-5 p.m. Registration is required and limited seats are available. To register, click here.
