Grand View raises record $7.1 million in private funding

Grand View University raised a total of $7.19 million in private financial support during the 2024 fiscal year that ended June 30, the university announced. The funding includes $4.25 million in grants for campus ministry programs and initiatives from Lilly Endowment Inc., an Indianapolis-based private philanthropic foundation. Grand View received an endowment gift of more than $700,000 from the estate of Alice Humphrey that will support maintenance of the Humphrey Center, as well as 2,200 individual gifts totaling $382,671, according to a news release. The Des Moines-based private liberal arts university also raised a record $185,000 during its Viktory Day of Giving. The news release said the average financial aid package for Grand View students during the 2023-24 academic year included more than $27,237 in scholarships and grants, or 80% of Grand View’s tuition, because of donations.
