Grinnell College extends president’s contract by five years
Grinnell College’s trustees announced they have entered a five-year contract extension with President Anne F. Harris. Under this contract, her service in the role will extend through June 30, 2030. Harris joined Grinnell in 2019 as vice president for academic affairs and dean. She became Grinnell’s 14th president in 2020. Her work as president has included enacting a “no loan” financial aid policy that allows students to graduate without student loan debt, opening Renfrow Hall dedicated to alumna Edith Renfrow Smith and leading the college’s strategic plan. She serves on the Des Moines Capital Crossroads Advisory Council and on the executive committee of the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
