Iowa Healthiest State Initiative announces 2024 award winners

The Iowa Healthiest State Initiative has announced the winners of the 2024 Healthiest State Annual Awards recognizing workplaces, schools, individuals and others for efforts to improve the physical, social and emotional well-being of those they serve. The winners are Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Bayer Crop Science, Grinnell Mutual Insurance Co., Clarinda Regional Health Center, Mitchellville Elementary School, Little Sprouts Early Learning Child Development Home, Red Oak Early Childhood Center and individuals Melanie Bauch and Lauren Schroeder. Each winner was awarded a monetary prize for a project to continue their work focused on improving the health and well-being of their employees, students or fellow Iowans. The winners’ projects will be announced in 2025, a news release said.
