National Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit set for Nov. 16 in Ankeny

The Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit will host its 17th annual national summit from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Ankeny’s FFA Enrichment Center. There will be over 800 attendees from over 50 countries of origin. A press release said the IES Summit is dedicated to fostering an environment where diverse businesspeople can share their experiences, learn from one another, and celebrate the contributions of immigrant entrepreneurs to the economy and society. The summit includes 21 seminars, an exhibitor hall, luncheon awards and a business pitch competition with a chance to win a $5,000 grant. “We are excited to bring together such a diverse group of entrepreneurs and business leaders,” said Catherine Tran, executive director of IES. “The summit is a unique opportunity to highlight the incredible achievements of immigrant entrepreneurs and provide them with the tools and connections they need to continue thriving.” Registration costs $70, and more information can be found online.
