EveryStep receives 2 grants from Variety – the Children’s Charity
EveryStep has received two grants from Variety – the Children’s Charity, the health and human services nonprofit announced. A grant of $15,000 will support EveryStep’s Amanda the Panda grief and loss program, a news release said. Another grant for $7,500 will fund Developmental Support Packs, which are developmentally-appropriate books and toys for children enrolled in EveryStep’s Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health programs. “Variety – the Children’s Charity has been a consistent supporter of EveryStep’s programs for many years, and we are extremely grateful,” said EveryStep Foundation Executive Director Julie Matternas in a prepared statement. “Funding from Variety is critical to provide much-needed programs and services to the children, adults and families we serve. Because of these grants from Variety, children are getting a healthy start in life and receiving grief support during life’s difficult transitions.” Variety serves children who are at-risk, underprivileged, critically ill or living with special needs throughout Iowa.
