The Iowa Medical Society (IMS), a statewide professional association for Iowa physicians, has announced its new Five Iowa Physicians to Watch award for 2025 in honor of its upcoming 175th anniversary. The award will honor practicing Iowa physicians who have been practicing or teaching for two or more years and have exhibited one of the following: leadership, impact and influence, innovation and creativity, community impact, or potential for future success. Nominations and self-nominations are open until Feb. 14, 2025, and will be reviewed by the IMS leadership development committee. Award recipients will be recognized May 2 at Hancher Auditorium in Iowa City as part of the society’s 175th Anniversary Celebration and President’s Dinner.
